All thanks to Allah that has given me a chance to share my knowladge to others.

I try to analyze the books of L.G. Alexander which I think having a good explanation of English structure. I analyze every lesson by myself, so it is possible if there are many mistakes. I hope this analysis can help other people who want to study English language. I am quite welcome for comments, suggestions, and additional information to complete this writing.

Before I am going to analyze every lesson, I want to quote some brief general principles which is represented for the teacher.

In order to become a skilled performer, the student must become proficient at using the units of a language. And the unit of a language is not, as was once commonly supposed, the word, but the sentence. Learning words irrespective of their function can be a waste of time, for not all words are equal. The teachers must draw a distinction between structural words and lexical items.

The students should be trained to learn by making as few mistakes as possible. He should never be required to do anything which is beyond his capacity. The students must be trained adequately in all four basic language skills.

Here will I analyze every lesson by answering and giving explanation of the lesson based on my understanding. I will combine my explanation by using both English and Indonesian language to make clear explanation. I get more attention to answer the comprehension precis and composition, and some exercises; and to explain the key structures (KS) and special difficulties (SD). I also give a soft data of listening section of the passage.

I hope we can share together to master English language.
